Pumpkins, Picnics, Harvest Festival and more fall fun!

We love reading the Pumpkin Patch Parable by Liz Curtis Higgs before carving our pumpkins! Quote from the book, "As the sky grew darker, the pumpkin on the porch was shining brighter than ever. When people saw the smiling pumpkin, they smiled back! All the neighbors knew that once again the farmer had turned a simple pumpkin into a simply glorious sight. In the same way, God the Father offers His children the chance to be made new, full of joy and full of light, shining like stars in a dark world."

Belle was so excited to bring a friend to our church Harvest Festival this year. They had a blast! The girls were busy together, and it melted my hard when John spotted a friend from church and quickly grabbed his hand! He is growing up too! The barrel train ride and the puppet show were favorites as always! Belle even mustered the courage to dance with the puppet team! We rode the hay ride a little later than usual, but they still spotted several cows! Late night, but totally worth staying up past bedtime!
