Narnia and the North (Part 2)

Belle's birthday celebration had many memorable moments, and many involved her brothers. Nothing could be sweeter than seeing a three year old little boy buy and prepare breakfast for his big sister. It truly made her day, as did getting the present he diligently wrapped for her. (You know---the pillow she has been sleeping on for over a year ;). John thoroughly enjoyed playing in Narnia with Belle even though he sometimes highjacked the party with random costumes. With John's nerf sword always in motion, I was glad Belle decided James was a little beaver and kept him stashed in Beavers Dam, which seemed to be the safest spot in her room. Baby James liked watching all the excitement and even got to have his first taste of real food in Narnia.

Every day in Narnia was a different adventure, but always fun. We had sleigh rides, battles, dancing, a pinata, and even a snowball fight. The little room hosted a lot of action, but we also had several heartfelt conversations about the many Christian overtones found in the Chronicles of Narnia. The kids were eager to discuss and answer questions about the "secrets" found in Narnia in exchange for some Turkish Delight.

In keeping with tradition, we had our 6th annual birthday lunch at Chick-fil a. Hard to believe Miss Belle Elizabeth is already 6 years old. She loves to snuggle, read, and is always full of ideas. Just like the pile of swords she added to her birthday cake at the last minute, she brings an extra spark of creativity wherever she goes. She keeps me hopping, but I don't know what I would do without her. I am so proud to be her mom and love her to pieces.
