After visiting the Maritime Center, Granddaddy wanted to take the kids to explore Beaufort waters by boat. Belle and John were thrilled to catch a stingray, but they discovered the minnow bucket was equally as exciting. We spotted dolphins several times and even had the rare pleasure of watching some deer swim across the river! While visiting the old trestle Granddaddy played at as a youth, the kids were delighted to find trees to climb and honeysuckle to taste! It is amazing how much can be learned just by venturing into the great outdoors for a few hours! Needless to say, our first boat trip of the season was a huge success, and the kids (especially John) are eager to spend more time on the river! Thank you for a fun day "G-dad!"
