Thankfully, my kids and their cousins have big imaginations. They had more fun than I could have ever hoped for fishing in an empty baby swimming pool and later pretending to be fish and eating worms off a pole Belle crafted. They pegged one another with bean bags and played chase with toy guns. They reeled presents into a boat and went spearfishing. Even the adults enjoyed a lively game of Sharks and Minnows (on land). Laughter filled the air as the children played their hearts out the entire party, which ended with pinata fun.
Of course no fish party is complete without some fish, cake and family to share it all with! A big thanks to Granddaddy for frying some delicious fish and chips, which is one of John's favorite meals. Grammie prepared a beautiful fruit tray complete with blackberries, which John especially liked and stained his shirt with! Aunt Chelsea made some yummy cupcakes with "fish hanging down," as specifically requested by the birthday boy. So thankful for the crowd of family who helped bring John Marshall many smiles at his third birthday celebration. With his wide blue eyes, endearing smile, big personality and heart of gold, John Marshall is definitely a keeper!
