To illustrate how limp our bodies would be without bones, the kids tried to make their stuffed animals stand upright. Then, they shared quite a few laughs throwing them up into the air because stuffed animals "don't have any bones to break."
Another day, we made a skeleton out of noodles. Once again, it was a child led craft. After I gave directions, I even left John to create his own. At first, he tried to copy Belle's work, but he quickly decided he was going to use his noodles to make some guns instead of a skeleton. I joked that his completed project was a graveyard of bones.
