A wave of nostalgia rushed over me the first morning I made school lunches and packed book bags. I was glad my kids were heading to their first day of Classical Conversations to experience a taste of a more traditional school life. Though I love everything about homeschooling, I believe being a part of Classical Conversations is the perfect fit for our family.
Every Tuesday, we join a wonderful group of like-minded Christian homeschooling families for a morning of learning and then build on the material at home the rest of the week. Peer interaction in a classroom setting is nice for Belle, as I think it helps to know she has friends in the same boat. As a mother/teacher, I also find a great deal of encouragement and support from the CC community.
Even daddy was excited as we headed off to our first day of CC! He snapped a picture of us!

As soon as Belle's class dismissed, she was on a mission to find her little brother for lunch. They gave each other the sweetest embrace! Later, as we discussed going to school with friends, Belle informed me, "Well, it is nice to see everyone, but I go to school with my best friend John-John everyday!"
