Yes, that is Hamburger Helper. We are trying to choose a lot of healthier options, and that is definitely NOT one of them; however, it is a meal daddy happens to really like on occasion. The kids were so proud to tell him they cooked dinner entirely by themselves! Nice step-by-step instructions :)
Just blogging about our family and homeschooling endeavor as we seek to have joyful hearts for His glory! "A joyful heart is good medicine..." Prov 17:22

Little Chefs
My kitchen is usually open for little chefs to assist or create. The joy of watching them in the kitchen is worth the extra time and cleanup. So much learning and creativity can take place while cooking too! Although I supervise, I sometimes give Belle the freedom to gather the ingredients and follow the steps independently. John helps measure, pour, and whisk, but I think it is his voracious appetite that really increases his enthusiasm. He is always ready to eat whatever we are making! Quite often, the kids (with Belle as the ring leader) will want to concoct something on their own. I always find their creations intriguing, but most never actually get eaten. Lately, we have also enjoyed cooking with some friends and family, which adds another layer of fun in the kitchen!
